Unlocking the Power of Design: 1-2-1 Coaching Session by Aston University

Have you ever wondered how captivating 2D and 3D designs come to life?

Do you find yourself thinking about which CAD software would best suit your company's needs?

Or maybe you've always dreamed of creating your own product designs from scratch?

If any of these questions resonate with you, then we invite you to take part in our 1-2-1 design coaching session, delivered by the esteemed Advanced Prototyping Facility (APF) project under the leadership of Aston University.

During this tutorial, you will be led by an experienced Additive Manufacturing Engineer, who will introduce you to design essentials and help you understand the key topics required for effective design. You will also learn about CAD software features and the toolbar.

Throughout the session, you will have the opportunity to share your ideas and challenges specific to your company with our dedicated APF team member. You can engage in stimulating discussions and receive personalized guidance to address your unique design requirements.

In addition, during the hands-on session you will have a chance to practice your newfound knowledge and create your own design.

For those who want to explore advanced manufacturing techniques, we are offering optional sessions on laser cutting or 3D printing. Participants will learn about the transformative capabilities of these technologies and gain insights into integrating them into their design processes.

After completing the workshop, you will be entitled to a 1-hour online consultancy session with Aston University's Additive Manufacturing Engineer to follow up and discuss your design progress.

This coaching session is exclusively available to companies in the Shropshire Local Authority area and is delivered by the Advanced Prototyping Facility (APF) project at Aston University. It has been funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is bound by Minimum Financial Assistance (MFA) rules, regulations, and eligibility criteria.
