Aston University's Festive Stall at Birmingham Christmas Market

Aston University took over a stall at Birmingham Christmas Market to sell gifts, some made using cutting-edge technology.

A variety of 3-D printed and laser cut gifts designed and created by APF team and students within Aston University College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, were available to buy.

Professor Kate Sugden, deputy Dean of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciances, said: “We’re delighted to set up stall in the heart of the city centre this Christmas.

“We have some very talented staff and students who have kindly applied their scientific and technological knowledge to produce gifts and Christmas decorations.

“But not all of our produce is made using engineering and computing techniques. We’ve also got some excellent knitters and crafters within the University who have also donated items to sell.”

The Aston University stall was opened between 21 and 27 November. Profit from the sale were distributed to students associations, such us WEST and CAD society.
